Do you know what your thing is?

You know – The Thing.

If you don’t know, I bet you would love to find it. And I bet you are looking for it. I bet you are probably thinking about it on a regular… or at least regularish basis.

Everywhere you go, everyone is urging you to find your thing. Your purpose. Your passion. Because when you find it, you’ll be able to live your life with… you know…passion and purpose And who doesn’t want that?

When I did group workshops in the past I would always get someone in the group who to my questions – “What do you always find time to do even if life gets really busy? What would you do if money was not an issue? What are you attracted to? What inspires you? What do you like to talk about? What books do you like to read?” answer with –“I don’t know”. I could never figure out how to help those people.

But I bet you, yes – YOU, know.

You know.

True that our subconscious keeps us from knowing what we know. But you can ask questions. And look for clues. And pay attention. And you will know. It is not hard at all. So why do still lots of people claim that they don’t know what their thing is?

Because someone convinced us that we have to find The Thing.

The one and only.

That’s lots of pressure.

But you know what?

Maybe there is no one thing? We are multidimensional beings. Maybe there is no need to look for the one. And maybe, just maybe, the one you choose is the one because you said so.

No destiny.

Life purpose?

Bullshit.

Your life purpose is to be yourself and do what you are inspired to do.

You might be inspired to do many things. Just pick one for now. And start doing it already. You can always change it or add another one and another one to the mix or put a new twist on it.

Your thing will be getting clearer and clearer once you start acting on it. I wrote about it many times already. And I know that I myself don’t always follow my advice, but I really, really want to start following it because I know – action is the best way to find your unique thing.

You have to start acting on what you already know.

And you do know something.

It might turn out to be something completely different at the end. But if you don’t take consistent action, it will never turn into anything. You won’t find your thing by reading books, attending workshops or meditating. You will find it only by acting. On what you know now.

So what do you know?

You know that you like doing xyz no matter how busy your life gets.

You know that you like reading books about xyz.

You know that the websites you like to visit are about xyz.

You know that you like to talk about xyz and you get excited talking about it.

You know that you feel inspired, excited, fired up or simply very good doing xyz.

You know that you want to revolutionize xyz.

You know that you get really bothered when someone doesn’t get xyz.

You know.

And that’s enough to know.

My example?

I know that I love talking about doing what you are passionate about. I like to talk about sleepwalking and how we all need to wake up, myself including. I know that when I go to the bookstore I usually like to stop at the entrepreneurship/self help/parenting sections or crafty/design magazines. I know that I love talking about my kids and things I learned and things I’d like to learn about this whole conscious parenting thing. I know that I get really bothered when I see what some people eat and what they feed to their kids. And don’t even get me started on what I think about our food industry. I love reading books and visiting websites of people who do what they love, show who they truly are without apologizing, and rock it. I know that I am attracted to crafty/creative stuff.

I know much more than that, but that’s enough for starters.

Do you see one thing here? I see lots of things.

And all of them could be my thing. Right now it is clarity and helping people to gain it. Because I also happen to be good at asking the right questions. And right questions are the best way to clarity.

But, really, any of the things above can be my thing if I choose so. Or I can combine all of those things. And that’s why I write about green smoothies one day and excuses the other day and my kids and our special celebrations the next day and finding your thing the day after that.

It doesn’t have to be just one thing. Because I am not one thing.

You don’t have to be… no, you CAN’T be one thing. You just need to pick one thing to start with.

Start now. Start the best you can. Start with what you know. Adjust if necessary. Keep going. And see what happens.

So what are your things? Which one will you start with?

Clarity Series…We are opening our Daring Clarity journals today to reveal another slice of our core, our essence…one question at a time. The questions are meant to be ANSWERED. I know, right?

I’ll stick with Sunday for now for our Clarity Series.

And today’s question I have for you is:

What are the places in the world where you feel the most aligned with who you are?

It might be one place or three or five. What are they?

And of course the next and the most important question is:

Why?

Remember, “why” is much more important than “what” to understand your Authentic Self.

And, of course, personal example.

Places that came to mind first when I asked myself this question were cathedrals, bookstores, small cafes in Paris and in front of a fireplace.

Why?

Cathedrals – sacredness, mystery, timeless, grand

Bookstores – wisdom, coziness, meaning

Cafes in Paris. Paris – my Love. Special energy in the air. Love. Magic. Intimacy. Sophistication. Style. Creativity. Freedom.

I think it is a very introverted city with lots of depth and meaning and cafes there are just a perfect representation of it’s nature.

Fireplace – fire, passion

What are your places? Why? What do you see in them?

To live your Truth, you have to know the Truth. Start answering the questions and you’ll be so much closer to knowing your Truth.

It will empower you. It will set YOU free.

Anywhere you go, pretty much at any blog you read now, you are encouraged to find your Big Outrageous Dream, take massive action and fly higher than the stars.

Otherwise you are not living your purpose and God forbid you don’t live your purpose!

Your life is a complete waste of time then.

I am all for flying high. I am all for living your purpose. And yes, I am all for stepping into your greatness that we all have.

That’s what I preach on my blog. That’s what I sell my coaching and workshops based on.

But…

Here comes Big But.

What if in a run after a Big Dream and high flights you are forgetting the True Dream? What if the Big Dream you have is not really what your soul wants?

Dreaming big for the sake of dreaming big is like getting married for the sake of getting married. Where will such marriage lead you?

Or what if you went wrong with the strategy of making your Big Dream a reality and as a result the dream itself became not so authentic anymore.

Personal story (don’t you love my personal stories?).

I had a big Vision. The vision was to open Positivity Places in every state in US and oh, well, the world!

Great Vision, LOVE it.

The core idea of Positivity Place is to make personal development routine for people and to create a community, a place for like minded people to get together .

Just like going daily or weekly to the gym to exercise your body, I saw people coming daily to my Positivity Place to exercise their spirits and souls.

Again, I love the Vision.

Then came the strategy, the plan and the tactics of making the Big Dream a reality.

I saw a huge place with several rooms for workshops, seminars, socials etc and common area with café to just sit, relax, sip coffee and get clear on your goals or anything else you might want to get clear on.

I loved that place. I could feel everything inside there. This is the place I’d want to go to myself. This is the place I see a huge need for in our society.

But something didn’t feel right. My big Vision inspired me, but something was still missing.

Could it be because it was too big for me? I was scared to even think about that.

Too big? How can I teach anyone to step into their greatness if I myself think that something is too big for me?

Turned out “too big” was not really a problem in my case. Thanks Divine! Turned out I figured the Vision right but then went overboard on details.

How did I find that out?

Simple. I asked myself – What is the core feeling you want to experience when your Vision comes true?

This is the number one most important question you should ask yourself.

My core feeling is freedom. Creative freedom (this is the most important one!), financial freedom, time freedom etc.

Freedom is everything to me.

Would I feel free running and growing that huge place? A place where I have to be at daily, work really hard, find investors for, spend enormous amount of time taking off the ground? Would I feel free?

I really doubt that.

What Freedom means to me:

Freedom means being location independent.

Freedom means staying flexible.

Freedom means not having to deal with investors who have certain demands.

Freedom means spending as much time with my son as I want instead of working 70 hours a week while someone else is seeing him grow.

Freedom is having a choice of when, how, where and with whom.

Freedom means having enough time to create masterpieces on this blog.

Freedom means so much more but you get the picture.

And while all of that might be very possible down the road with Positivity Place but I doubt it will be possible for the first few years of taking a project like this one off the ground.

And my son is growing now. I really don’t want to take few years off of being involved in every minute I can of his life.

So the big Vision had to be reevaluated.

It really felt like I was giving up on my Big Dream while I was going through reevaluation process.

But then I realized that I was not giving up on the Vision. I was giving up on a certain way of making it a reality.

The Vision itself is still true. The Vision of making personal development routine for people and creating a community of like minded people doesn’t necessarily have to come true in a form of a huge place with multiple daily events.

It was never about the Vision. It was all about the details I was too attached to.

As soon as I realized that, it was like a huge burden that was lifted from my soul.

We can do maybe couple events per week or even per month. We can build a community based not on location but based on people and those people can get together anywhere. We can skip the in house café and cater certain events.

I can do so much without sacrificing the Freedom.

I can do so much while staying true to my core feeling and my core Vision. Most importantly I will stay true to myself.

So what’s your Big Dream?

Do you feel discomfort when thinking about it?

If yes, maybe it’s time to see if you got too wrapped up in details of making it a reality? Maybe it’s time to see if you are too attached to a certain way of doing it?

Or maybe even the Vision itself is really not your True Vision because it doesn’t ultimately satisfy your core feelings you want to experience?

So here are the steps to find all of that out:

1. Get clear on your core feeling. What is your core feeling(s) you want to experience when you reach your dreams? Why do you want what you want?

The true answer usually lies behind several “whys”. Keep asking yourself – Why do I want it? If you want more money, ask why? Maybe it is the feeling of security or confidence or ability to support a luxurious lifestyle that you crave for or freedom to travel the world.

Question “Why” can crack open your reality.

Another way to get clear on your core feeling is to imagine your Ideal Day. Close your eyes and see yourself living your Ideal Day. What do you see there? Most importantly how do you feel there?

2. Once you are clear on your core feeling, see what dream and what kind of way of making that dream a reality will satisfy your core feeling.

Don’t get too attached to details. Stay flexible. As long as the core feeling is going to be satisfied, details can be changed or adjusted along the way.

3. Don’t be afraid to change the Vision if the Vision itself doesn’t satisfy your core feeling. Even if you’ve been working on it for awhile, stop. What’s the point of making something come true if it won’t make your soul sing?

So what’s your Big Dream? Is it Your True Dream? Do you feel any discomfort thinking about it? Maybe it’s time to downsize the dream? Or upgrade it? Or change the plan?

Remember, it’s not about Dreaming Big, it’s about Dreaming Authentically.

When you are clear on who you are and do everything in alignment with who you are, the World responds. With lots of Love.

How do you discover yourself? It took you years of conditioning to forget your true nature. How do you start getting clear on who you truly are?

You start asking questions. You interview yourself. The more questions you ask, the more slices of your core you reveal and the more pieces to the puzzle you find.

The key is to start asking.

We are so busy, we run everyday and rarely find time to stop and ask.

Let’s do it now.

Asking the Right Questions is really the key to freedom and fulfillment. It is the key to discovering Your Truth.

I’ll interview myself today to show you more of who I am and I’d love it if you choose at least one question in this interview that resonates with you the most and shared the answer in the comments.

I really want to know YOU.

And I’d also encourage you to answer all of those questions when you have time just for yourself.

Find time to stop and get clear.

Some questions might seem too simple and superficial. But every one of them will reveal the slice of who you are or I am in this particular example. (If this post seems like too much of me, I am sorry:) )

Knowing yourself is really the key to Freedom. And Freedom is what we all want. So let’s start.

Update: If you are blogger, feel free to use these questions to interview yourself on your blog. Your readers would love to know you. Link to this original interview is appreciated of course! We have few bloggers who did it already and more coming. See the links at end of the post.

↔

If there was one word that would define everything you do, strive for and resonate with, what would that be:

Meaning. I need meaning in order for me to be happy and satisfied.

What is (are) the core feeling(S) that drive(s) everything you do?

Meaning, creative freedom and feeling of being useful. Those are the ultimate reasons I do what I do.

What are the things you are most proud of from what you’ve accomplished or did so far in life?

Not giving up with my business, daring to commit to it and believing in what I do when things were not working out. Breastfeeding my son until the age of 3.

What is your genius, what are your talents?

Intuition, hearing the answers, asking the right questions, ability to put a stream of thoughts into a clear and concise message, Vision, creativity, creating impact. I am great dancer too:)

If you were to start your career/business all over again, what would you do differently?

In terms of my business, I would have started building my brand right away, got focused, wouldn’t have tried to make money with something else before deciding to stick with my passion, enjoyed the process more instead of focusing on the outcome too much.

What do you crave?

Intimacy and authentic connections with people.

What do you want less of in your life?

Fear, attachment, feeling of – “I don’t have enough time.”

What annoys you the most?

Low consciousness. Small talk. Fake smiles. Superficial connections. Mediocrity. People who don’t believe and don’t try and judge those who do. Status quo.

If there was one thing you could revolutionize, what would that be?

Education system. I’d make classes on awareness, self discovery and purpose driven life part of the education system.

What are the best realizations you had that changed your life?

1) I am an artist. Seth Godin helped me to realize that. It doesn’t matter what you do, you can be an artist in anything you do. Once I realized that, everything changed.

2) Bringing value and being yourself are really the only ways to get what you want.

3) I am enough.

What do you love?

Snuggling. Meaningful conversations. Fireplaces. Being useful. Red scarfs. Journals. Simplicity and grace in everything starting from designs of websites, homes, clothes and ending with people and nature.

What is the best material gift one can give you and why?

Journal. Love journals. And not because I love writing. But because they capture truth and meaning.

What is your favorite flower and what do you see in it?

Red rose. One of a kind. Vivid. Breathtaking. Impact. Change. Sensual. Inspiration. Privacy and solitude. Tasteful. Elegant. Meaning. Passion.

What advice would you give to your 18 year old Self:

Ten years from now you’d be where you never even allowed yourself to dream of being. Don’t limit yourself. Don’t worry about short term goals, figure out your long term Vision first. Don’t be afraid to make a choice and commit to it. You are enough. Really, you are. Change is the only constant, stay flexible. Things always get better, never worse. Your taste in clothes is awful. Don’t you see it?

What are you most proud of in your country/people?

Passion. Very strong core, if it makes sense. Stubbornness. Reliability. Compassion. (I am from Russia)

Did you have a job that you hated in the past and if yes, why?

I didn’t have that many jobs but the one that stuck in mind the most was – I worked in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Affairs in Russia. I worked in protocol department there.

Everything should have been done according to the protocol. There was a protocol for how to meet foreign delegations, what to say, how to write letters and emails, what flowers to give if we were meeting a lady, how to make phone calls, how to present during meetings, how gifts should be wrapped and what gifts should be given to whom and on what occasions.

You name it. We had a protocol for that. Creativity? What is it? Check the protocol. Nice place and great job at the time. So glad I am not there anymore.

↔

Did you learn more about me? Do you see how my answers one way or another are aligned with what I do?

Now is your turn. You might think you know the answers but it is so much more powerful to put them down on paper.

You never know where that might lead you. Maybe you’ll want to start a new project or write a book or change your wardrobe.

You might not know where getting clear on who you are might take you, but you can always be sure it will be the direction you were born to go.

Clarity will liberate you. The True YOU.

I am starting Clarity Series this week. In each series I will be asking questions or one question like the ones above and will invite you to answer them. My intention is for all of us to get truly and undeniably clear.

So we all fly. Higher.

Really. There is a much easier way. Trying to prove anything to anyone is a waste of time and energy. Huge waste.

When you catch yourself trying to prove anything, think to yourself – am I really sure in this myself? Because if you were sure, you probably wouldn’t want to prove it.

Think of any confident person you know. Think of anyone who in your opinion is living Their Truth. Do they explain themselves a lot? Do they try to prove anything to anyone? Most likely they don’t.

They just live Their Truth. And the World usually follows.

They don’t prove. They don’t will things to happen in a certain way. They just don’t accept any other way.

The same goes for trying to show people how you should be treated. We often want to make a certain impression on people and we want them to treat us and think of us in a certain way.

You really don’t need to do any of that. You don’t need to teach anyone how to treat you.

All you have to do is to get clear in your heart how you should be treated. And expect nothing else but that.

It is about calm confidence. Calm knowing. Once you get it, there will be a totally different vibe coming from you. The World will respond.

The more you want to prove anything, the more situations you attract into your life that make you fight for your position.

Get clear on what Your Truth is. What your message is. What your values are. Stop asking for permission. Stop apologizing. Stop explaining yourself. Just live it. Live Your Truth.

Look at your business. Are you trying to prove anyone that what you do is valuable? Do you expect people to argue with you or to not accept you? Do expect it to be difficult to market your products or services? Even if this thought sits somewhere in the back of your mind, get rid of it.

Are you doing what you love? Are you confident that you are bringing value? If yes, then convince yourself and yourself only that you don’t need to convince anyone else. Everyone else we’ll get convinced once you do that.

You’ll see. This world works in miraculous ways. It’s all about you breaking the barriers inside your mind and letting go of resistance. Everything else becomes easy after you do that.

The only person you ever need to prove anything is you yourself.

You are The King. Or The Queen. Embrace and enjoy your Kingdom.

There is probably one thought, one question that you always have in the back of your mind. And it seems like if you could really figure that one thing out, everything else would fall into place.

Everything else would be perfect and life would become peaceful and joyful and there won’t be any more struggle or hard work.

Know what I am talking about?

The Thing you and only you were born to do here.

You know you have The Thing.

And maybe you figured out The Thing already but you still can’t seem to figure out the way to fully unleash it. To fully embrace it. To fully show it to the world and accept the abundance the world wants to give you for Your Thing.

So today I am on a quest to figure out a way to do The Thing the right way to end the struggle and find Freedom. Because Freedom is really the end result that we are all hoping to get by doing The Thing, The Right Way and being rewarded for it.

My questions are – How do I find a way to deliver The Thing in the hands of the people who need precisely That Thing? How do I figure out a way to do what I was meant to do and be who I was meant to be without any struggle or “hard work”? How do I find a way to deliver The Thing the exact way that will provide the most value to the world?

What does it take to fully unleash The Thing?

1. First and foremost get really clear on what The Thing is.

Sometimes it takes awhile. Sometimes it’s a process. We don’t often know right from the start what The exact Thing is. We might be stumbling around it, but we need True Clarity.

Journaling for self-discovery really helps. All the answers are already within us. All it often takes is to start asking the right questions and writing down your answers.

What are the right questions?

What would I do if I couldn’t fail? What was I born to do? What is my special form of genius? What is my life purpose? What do I love and why do I love it?

(Questions “why” are extremely important. It’s not the “what” that sheds the light on who we are, but “why”. Why do we love what we love? Why do we do what we do?)

2. Once you got clear on The Thing, get clear on how you can package it into something meaningful and valuable. Is it a product or a service? How will it look? What features should you include?

3. Next, Get clear on your Ideal Client. The Ideal Client is the person who needs That Thing the most.

Don’t think too hard about it. Know why? Because that person is probably a lot like you.

If you know yourself, there is a very high chance you know your Ideal Client. Because if The Thing you want to do is truly Your Thing, then you are really solving your own problem by doing it.

What about market research and all the other serious stuff everyone tells you to do? All of that is helpful but in reality the only person you have to “research” is yourself.

Which leads me to the most important point.

4. Do something with Your Thing that will make you go – “WOW!” You are your Ideal Customer. You are the only person who you really have to surprise and make believe that what you have to offer is truly valuable.

If you are already doing The Thing – does it make you go “WOW”? Do you yourself want The Things that you are doing? Answer honestly. Do you yourself think that Your Thing is remarkable? Because if you don’t, it will always continue being a struggle.

Do you want to buy your product? Do you want to hire yourself as a coach? Do you want to read your own blog posts and do you go “WOW” after reading them? Do you want to read your book and if you do – do you think it is truly the book you’ll be thinking about for days and telling your friends about?

Your Thing might be million times better than the other guy’s thing who is making ten times more money than you do, but if you yourself are not truly impressed by it, you’ll never be as successful as that guy.

So how can you surprise yourself? How can you really impress yourself? What does it take? What needs to be done? What needs to be changed?

Your attitude? Your way of delivery? Maybe you need to repackage The Thing? Or upgrade it?

Slow down a bit and get to the core, look inside your heart and figure out what it is going to take for you to go –“ WOW!”

What is it going to take for you to really want Your Thing?

I asked myself these questions lately and here are my answers:

1. I have to forget about money. And focus even more on the value I can provide. And provide that value in any way I can to anyone I can.

2. I have to become even more authentic and not be afraid to share more of my personal journey in everything I do.

3. I have to prepare for each coaching session as if I am saving the world, get more creative and ask more often: “How can I go an extra mile and what can I do to create an ultimate coaching experience for my client?” The answers are within, just start asking the right questions.

4. I have to put my heart and soul in absolutely everything I do and really listen to my muse when it shows up. Routine and plans and goals are great but I have to listen to my inspiration even more often and roll with it while it lasts.

I want you to leave my blog and think about what you’ve read here. And in order for me to make you think, I have to, first of all, make myself think.

5. I have to get even more committed to what I am doing. I think I am 99% there but I have to push myself more to get to a full commitment.

6. I have to “act as if” more. Act as if is when you are writing like you have hundreds of thousands of subscribers already and expecting a call from Oprah any minute. Act as if when you are preparing for your next gig as if you are going to give a presentation at TED show. Act as if is expecting miracles and big things to start happening really soon.

7. I have to learn to let go more. This is counterintuitive – committed but let go at the same time. This should be on the top of your list though.

When you are too attached to Your Thing, you are not allowing it to fully bloom. You are blocking it from fully flourishing by being in the “I gotta figure it out, I gotta make it work.” mode.

It will come. Relax a bit. The Universe is on your side. It wants you to succeed. Commit and let go.

And keep asking “How can I surprise myself?” As soon as you surprise yourself, the World will be surprised too. And there will be lines of people standing after Your Thing. And there will be peace in your soul because you’ll know – you are doing Your Thing and your are doing it right.

So what is Your Thing? Do you know it? If you do, what do you need to change for the World to respond with lots of love to it? How can you surprise yourself? What should you change so you yourself truly want Your Thing?

Find the answers to these questions and the World will respond.

And you will have Freedom. And Freedom, I believe, is everything.

I have a question for you today. I bet you heard this question at least 5.5 times before.

My question is – have you actually answered it? Have you actually taken the time to think about it and dared to get truly clear on it?

This is one of the top questions that are mentioned in every personal development/self improvement/business and many other books out there.

This is the question you hear lots of remarkable people telling you to ask yourself.

This is the question that will lead you to the edge of your Greatness and show who you can truly be.

Damn, tell us the question already! I know but wait a second.

You have to promise me to answer it. You have to promise me that you’ll actually take the time and answer it in as much detail as you can.

Promise?

Ok, here we go.

What would you do if you could not fail?

Surprised? Disappointed?

Really, what would you do? If you knew you would succeed for sure. If you knew that all of your financial needs would be met. If you knew that the world would respond with lots of love to whatever it is you decide to do.

What would you do?

How often do you ask yourself this question? When was the last time you asked it and actually found courage to answer it? Answer fully. Answer without holding anything back. Answer with your heart.

Can you do it now?

What would you do if you could not fail? What would you do if you could be, do and have anything you want?

Simple question. But 95% of the populations never answer it in their whole lifetime.

Will you dare?

Can you write down your answer?

When I ask this question during a workshop, people often get really uncomfortable. They say – “I don’t know”. But then when pressured to write at least something down, they often come up with really unexpected answers.

Writing things down forces us to get so much clearer. And requires much more courage.

So write down your answer.

And then ask people around you. You’ll be surprised how many lives you can change just by asking one simple question.

They will be puzzled at first. We are not asked this question often. They might not know what to say. But they will start thinking. And most likely continue thinking about it for awhile.

And the motion will be set. Can you imagine a wave of energy coming from all around just because people started thinking what they would do if they couldn’t fail.

The world will be transformed. Yeah, I am talking about revolution here!

And for the first time in my life I can put my hand on my heart and say – I would do exactly what I am doing now. I would be writing, creating products to change the world, working with people through coaching and workshops and making my Positivity Place vision a reality.

I am doing all of that because it makes me feel creatively free, useful, creating change and meaning. Those are my core feelings.

I wouldn’t change a thing in my Vision. And it feels incredible to know that.

So what’s YOUR THING? What’s your Vision? What would you do?

Here is where the scary part came in. I changed the direction of my coaching as well.

I’ve started coaching 5 months ago. At first I was getting clients primarily offline through networking and word of mouth. From the very beginning I was helping people with clarity. You might think that clarity is a focused and clear topic.

I thought so too. I decided right from the beginning that I was not going to do traditional life coaching. I help people to get clear on who they are, what their purpose/values are and help them to align their goals and actions with all of the above.

I believe that Universe responds to clarity and moves you in the direction you want to go once you are truly clear.

All of that seemed to be clear enough.

I was wrong. I was not clear myself.

I was helping everyone around with clarity. And I was pretty good at it. Most importantly my clients were getting results. One of the first clients I had who needed help in relationships area, got engaged two months after our coaching to the woman of his dreams.

That was kind of a shocker. I knew it works but I still didn’t expect it to work that quickly.

Anyway, all of that was good. Really good. But not great.

I realized that I needed to get more clarity myself. And I asked myself several questions.

Who is my Ideal customer? Who do I enjoy helping the most? Where do I feel I can make the biggest impact? Who am I truly passionate about helping and feel really fired up when working with?

The answer scared me. I enjoy working with entrepreneurs/aspiring entrepreneurs who need more clarity in aligning their business/vocation/product/marketing strategy etc. with their Authentic Self and need to figure out how to clearly communicate their Authentic Vision to the world.

Brainstorming for ideas, using my creativity and intuition and helping people with aligning their Purpose and Authentic Vision with their vocation is what I do best and what really fires me up.

That scared me. Why?

First of all narrowing down my clients’ base that much felt really uncomfortable. Even though we all know the more targeted you are, the better. But I think we all still subconsciously resist narrowing things down too much.

Getting clear all the way is scary.

Changing direction is scary. Even though some of my clients in the past were entrepreneurs/aspiring entrepreneurs but that is not what I used in my pitch while networking. That is not what I had on my site. That is not what I have on my business card.

So I’ll have to make more changes. I’ll have to say “no” to potential customers who are not entrepreneurs and don’t need my help with figuring out their Authentic Vision. I’ll have to rethink my own marketing. I’ll have to come up with a new pitch. I’ll have to create new content.

Will anyone believe me that that’s what I am good at? I don’t have that much experience to back it all up. Sure I have some, but that’s not enough. (you know that little voice in your head that always thinks you are not good enough?)

I know in my heart that that is what I should be doing. The heart doesn’t lie, but who will believe me?

I decided to still go for it.

Guess who the first two coaching clients were that came to me as soon as I made that decision? Before I even had time to change anything in the external world. Before I even had time to refine my networking pitch or change the coaching page on my sites or create new content.

Entrepreneurs, of course!

The Universe responds to clarity. Always.

That was a sign for me that I am on the right path. And I should definitely and undeniably go for it.

What are you afraid getting really clear on in your life? What are you afraid getting too precise on? What do you resist to narrow down?

Think about it? Where does scarcity mindset is not allowing you to get really clear on what you’d want to do or have or be?

Do you know precisely what kind of relationships you want? If I ask you to name 6 “must haves” your Ideal Partner should have, can you do it? If you are a business owner or artist or aspiring entrepreneur, do you know exactly who your ideal customer is?

Being afraid to get really clear and precise on what you want is a scarcity mindset. Sure, you should always be open to new opportunities. Sometimes we don’t know right off the bat what is the best for us.

But if your soul asks for it, don’t be afraid to get truly clear.

It was my scarcity mindset that was telling me : “You know there might not be enough people who would want your coaching if you narrow your target market down that much. You don’t have enough credibility to do something like this.

So what if enjoy it? So what if your clients are getting results?

May be it was just a coincidence. Wait a little bit. You are already clear enough. Announcing it to the world is not such a good idea yet. If you get those clients great. If you don’t, then at least there are always others who you can help. Everyone benefits.”

Bullshit!

No one benefits if I am not doing precisely what I immensely enjoy and feel I am really good at. No one benefits if I stay in the scarcity mode. How can I teach others to dare to live their Truth if I am myself scared to live mine?

I changed it. I committed. I dare to announce myself a person who helps entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs to get clear on who they are, what their Purpose and Vision are and then help them align what they do in the world with their Vision/Purpose/their Authentic Self.

If people come into my life who need help in other areas and I feel I can help them, I always will, of course. But I won’t actively pursue anyone else in my marketing but my Ideal Customer from now on.

I commit to living My Truth. Doing what I feel is in alignment with my heart. Get rid of everything else.

Strip down all the fake stuff until I get to the very core.

It’s a process. It doesn’t happen in one day. But as long as you are open and not scared to live Your Truth, you will find it.

And life will have more meaning. And your path will become clearer. And the World will respond.

The Universe wants to give you everything that you truly desire. Just let it.

How do you let it? By getting clear and daring to commit.

Things change so rapidly now. 100 years from now no matter what you do and who you are, there is a very high chance that people won’t remember your name.

The truth is – you are not that important at all. Not only no one will remember your name, no one really cares much about you and what you do now.

You are not important. If you disappear now, the world will still go on. Some will cry but they will forget and move on much quicker than you think.

Your existence doesn’t matter.

Life is short. Time flies. When it’s over, it’s over. We won’t talk about life after death here.

Who you are and what you do doesn’t matter.

This is the truth.

Scary? Maybe. Liberating? For sure!

How often are we afraid to do what we want to do or be who we want to be just because others won’t approve, or it is too uncomfortable, or we gotta do this job first, or because there is sure still plenty of time left. Guess what, none of that matter. Because you are not that important and no one cares.

And also, no, you don’t have that much time left. I don’t recommend worrying about that now, but still.

No one will remember you in 100 years.

Does it really matter now if you do that job or go to that appointment or write your next blog post? No, nothing matters.

Besides one little thing.

You being You

You allowing yourself to be who you are. You stepping into your Greatness and doing what brings you joy. You finding your True bold dreams and going after them .

No one will remember anyway. You might as well stop trying to fit in, stop striving, stop pushing , stop being a victim of circumstances and just allow yourself to be YOU and do what YOU want to do and what makes your soul sing.

Being yourself is the only thing you can do to make a difference. This is the truth too. And it will liberate you. The True You.

Let go of everything that doesn’t feel right.

Start that business you always dreamed of starting. Yes, I know your business plan is not ready and your spouse doesn’t approve and you simply don’t know much about starting a business. Start anyway. Now.

Talk about your outrageous dream out loud even though others might laugh. Your outrageous dream doesn’t have to be to save the world. It might be very trivial, everything is relative. But it is Your dream. Dare to claim it. Dare to commit to it.

Ask that girl on a date. Yes, she might reject you, but who cares. No one will remember little unimportant you anyway.

Forget the rules. No sex on the first date? Don’t have sex just for the sake of breaking the rules, but have it if it feels right.

Leave that relationship that doesn’t support your Vision. It might be uncomfortable; it might be inconvenient, but how liberating!

If you go with your True Self, you cannot go wrong. Because everything your True Self wants is aligned with Love. And Love never goes wrong.

How to embrace the truth and reinvent Yourself

Don’t be afraid to start over. Rewrite your story. Start a new business if the old one doesn’t resonate with who you are. Rewrite your message. I am changing blog’s URL because my old one just doesn’t fit my Authentic Vision. Yes, I am used to the old one, I tried hard to make it fit what I want to do, I tried to make my Authentic Vision to align with it (you don’t align your Vision with what you do, you align what you do with your Vision, see the difference?), I am likely to lose subscribers and I have 250 pretty business cards printed with the old URL.

So what? Living the truth is worth it.

I took down the product and cancelled the membership program I had few months ago cutting down a substantial part of my income at the time because they didn’t resonate with who I was . I stopped working on a business that just didn’t bring me joy.

Change is scary. Face your fears and do it anyway. It is scarier to stay stuck where you don’t belong.

I got my first client within a week of starting my new coaching program. I actually was afraid I overpriced it but people saw value and I could deliver what promised. The feeling I get doing what is aligned with who I am is incredible. The feeling I get seeing my clients’ a-ha moments when they “get clear” is unbelievable. It’s great to be useful. Change turned out to be not as scary as I thought it would be.

Find your Core. Find what is true to you. What brings you joy? What do you love doing the most? What are you great at? Start doing it. The more, the better.

Ask. If not sure where to start, ask yourself – How can I do it, where do I start? And then go about your day knowing that your True Self will send you the answer. It always does. Just let go and listen. Once you hear it, don’t ignore. Write it down. See how you can act on it.

Trust. Have faith. Allow the Universe to provide. Stop stressing out about “how”. “How” is not your problem. It will come when you have faith.

Remember, the only thing you really want is to be yourself. This is your life’s purpose – be Yourself, live Your dreams, sing Your song.

This is the truth. And it does set you free if you let it.
