		<description>Hi Lana,

Thanks so much for the reminder about the importance of living in the present.

I&#039;m really glad you mentioned meditation, because it has done so much for me over the past couple of years. It has helped me just &quot;be&quot; during the day. Meditation gives me a feeling of completeness, unconditional love, etc. which allows me to be comfortable not trying to make things happen. Instead, I just allow them to happen.

It&#039;s also good to hear that something amazing happened the evening after you wrote this post. This inspires me to focus on living in the present as much as possible today!

By the way, I have seen the movie Peaceful Warrior several times and also highly recommend it.

<description>A great post Lana. I really like the concept of trying something new, something I have instituted on a work and personal level somewhat aggressively this year, and it is paying off. Good work here.

<description>Hi Lana, nature is what does it for me. It&#039;s hard for me to be present out in public places. This was an excellent article, but there is one nit-picky thing I disagree with you on though :-)

&quot;Life is on my side. No matter what challenge I might be going through –  that moment, that peace is always available to me. All I have to do is stop and become an observer.&quot;

I agree with everything in that statement except that life is on your side. We may just be talking semantics here, but unlike many people I don&#039;t think life or the universe care about us at all. They are not on our side. Sometimes they throw up very challenging or even tragic circumstances. But even when they are not on our side it is still OK and for all the reasons you state.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the wonderful read!

<description>Excellent post! Being here and now is the only state we are truly in, everything else is an illusion, a distraction if you will. Thanks for sharing your experience of being in the flow of being in the now and the wise tips you provided.

		<description>Hi Lana,

I really love this post. Being aware and present are things I have to remind myself continually to do. I&#039;m saving this post in my favorites so that I can always have a reminder!

I also love to observe though I&#039;d like to do it more and more consciously. Watching people interact with each other is so interesting and entertaining :)

Thank you for this great advice,

Kristie</description>

		<description>Great Post Lana,

We will be surprised at what we observe when we just open up our awareness to whats going on around us. That is one of the keys to being in the moment is awareness of whats happening around us. Not in the future and not in the past, but now.

Thanks for sharing!!

		<description>Lana -

Great post. Your 1,2,3 is spot on. Meditation is such a great way to raise awareness, live in the moment and just flow. I love the second one - walking through the city you can smell the fresh blossom, the coffee roastery, the mown grass, the accrid diesel fumes, take in the beauty of the trees, the buildings, the fascinating people around us. It is a great way to raise awareness and come into the moment. I love doing something new every day - keeps life fresh and worth living. Thanks for an excellent post.
