You are right Jacqui, I wish conscious living was taught at school or by our parents. Well, we can do it to our kids. Thank you for a great comment.

Hulbert, Happy New Year to you too, the day hasn't end here either:) Thanks for commenting!

Hi Lana. This is a cool post. I can relate to this because I wrote something similar to my blog. I like to use creative visualization to put me in places that I don't have access to in the moment. Like you say, the mind can't really tell the difference between what's happening outside of your thoughts to what's happening in them. I think this is very effective for anybody that truly masters it. So thanks for this, and also before the day ends, I just wanted to also say have a happy new year! :)

When I woke up this morning, the thought going through my head was that how you perceive things makes such a huge difference to how you move forward in life. A person that thinks they are lucky tends to attract luck, an anxious person tends to attract stressful situations. Then I read this article and it inspired me. If only we had been taught these things as children! To live consciously is powerful. Although it may take some effort, it is worth it. Thank you Lana

@Armen, I know some people still think it is ridiculous, if we don't see it and can't touch, doesn't always mean it doesn't exist. Thanks for the comment!

@Amit thank you for the comment and New Year wishes, I know this year is going to be great for many of us!

Visualisation has always been a big part of my life and there is no denying it's power. Anyone who doesn't believe it has not executed it properley or didn't believe they were going to succeed by doing it.

A lovely and superbly succint post Lana. I truly hope you manifest all that you desire in 2010. A very happy new year! :-)

Hey Lana.

I agree with this line here:

"Once our subconscious takes something as a truth, it will find a way to bring it into our reality."

I have seen that happen time and time again. Our brain can process early on how something will go, and also is able to show what will eventually happen before we even are certain of it.. This is why we need to accept what we start to think of, and act in response to it long before it happens.

I like how you show to pro-actively set a goal or image in our mind with this visualization. There was probably a time where I would say this was ridiculous, but now I know how much of an impact it can be. Also, any time spent toward a goal or vision we have is well worth it.

Advanced stuff here.

@Josue, thank you, I agree, I used to visualize myself as if from afar before, works so much better when you are actually in the picture.

@Jonathan thank you for a valuabkle input, state of flow - you said it perfectly, that's what it helps us with.

Hi Lana, visualization actually stimulates the right side of our brain for a more whole brain experience. This kind of stimulation encourages theta waves and creates a sense of easy mastery over our direction and intention. Those who seem to easily excel at complicated tasks generally do so by using visualization to enter a state of flow.
